mcp
MCP server
The wxrks MCP server gives AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor and opencode tools to translate with your translation memories and glossaries, find existing translations, and check terminology and quality.
It comes with the wx CLI: wx mcp runs it on your machine and signs in as your API user, so the assistant can reach only what that user can.
What you can ask
- "Translate this release note into Brazilian Portuguese and German."
- "How have we translated 'workspace' before? Search our translation memories."
- "Check this Spanish translation against our glossary."
- "Review this translation and tell me what to fix."
Tools
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
translate | Translates text into up to 10 languages with the same pipeline as the wxrks Portal: translation memory matches, glossary terms, machine translation and your account's AI instructions. |
search_translation_memory | Finds existing translations in your translation memories by similarity. |
check_terminology | Checks translations against your glossaries: missing, forbidden and do-not-translate terms. |
review_translation | Reviews a translation with AI and reports issues by severity. |
detect_language | Detects the language of a text. |
list_translation_memories, list_glossaries | Find the translation memories and glossaries the other tools can use. |
whoami | Tells which wxrks user the tools act as. |
The tools read from your workspace and never create projects or change translation memories or glossaries. Arguments and limits: Tools.
Set it up
- Get an API user's access key and secret (see Authentication).
- Connect your client. The Claude Desktop bundle needs nothing else; other clients run
wx mcpfrom an installed wx.
